This was a great vacation. It was
well organized by Bill Jones and there was no
problems with the flight, the hotel or the diving.
It was an all inclusive package at Hotel Cozumel
which could have allowed us to spend all of our
time at the resort. They had a beautiful pool, the
facilities were well maintained and they had
wireless internet access in the lobby. The food was
excellent and there was a good variety to choose
from. The main dining room was in the hotel but
there was also food available at the grill by the
pool and at the restaurant on the water next to the
dive shop. However, many went into town to shop and
drink. After all there is a Carlos & Charlies and
Senor Frogs. You gotta stop by for a little Sol.
Wendy Whitehead set up dinners adventures at the
more non-tourist, real food, local type places. Good
times!!
There was diving every day. The dive
shop was run by Sport Divers. They are well
established and I have dove with them before. Their
boats are well maintained and the dive masters are
experienced. You could go out in the morning for a 2
tank dive, in the afternoon for a 1 tank dive, they
offered night diving and shore diving right at the
resort was an option.
On this trip, a lot of pictures were
taken. There were too many to put on just one page
so please follow the links to the individual pages. Many of the photos are diving in
Cozumel. Some took a land excursion to Xcaret
and another group took an excursion to swim with
whale sharks in Holbox.
Photo contributors include Richard
Warner, Tom Burns, Keith Griffin, Jim Delane and
David McLaughlin.
I hope you enjoy the photos as much
as we enjoyed the trip.
This is a work in progress until it
is done so be patient.
