Lake is Houston’s premiere freshwater sports training
facility. The pristine lake provides the perfect open water
experience. The spring fed water is naturally filtered by
having travelled through many miles of sandstone and sand
layers. Visibility can range from 4-25 feet. A healthy
ecological environment helps to provide the balance in
nature of aquatic plants and animals. Individuals and groups
of up to 200 can come to train or simply enjoy the lush
surroundings of the serene 20 acre facility. 288 Lake is
breathtakingly beautiful, surprisingly affordable and

Getting there: From downtown Houston, take 288 South to
Beltway 8. Turn left (east) and stay on the feeder road.
Turn left on 865/Cullen Boulevard. The second street is
Schurmier Road. Turn right. Look for a brown gate on the
right, about half-way down Schurmier.
